TikTok Shop Black Friday 2026 (Nov 11–30): the product videos to have ready before day one

TikTok Shop’s 2026 Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign runs from November 11 to November 30 (Pacific Time), so treat it as a three-week campaign, not a single Friday. Before day one you want a small set of product videos ready to go: a hero demo, a deal reveal, a gift angle, a few proof videos and a last-chance cut. And you want to know your shop actually clears TikTok’s eligibility bar. Here’s what the official guide says and how to plan your videos around it.

First, check you’re eligible (TikTok’s own checklist)

TikTok Shop’s 2026 BFCM Seller Campaign Guide (updated October 19, 2026) sets out the US requirements. The main ones:

  • Shop Performance Score (SPS) of 3.5 or higher. Newer shops without a score can still qualify if they have fewer than 3 serious violations in the last 30 days. If your SPS drops below 3.0, campaign benefits may be revoked.
  • Late Dispatch Rate of 20% or lower over the last 30 days.
  • Account Health Rating ideally above 150. At or below that, temporary enforcement actions can restrict registration.
  • Product compliance. Listings must be accurate, compliant and in stock. The guide specifically says product images and videos must be “accurate and not misleading”.
  • Registration happens in Seller Center > Marketing > Campaigns, and products are registered individually.

Two details matter for timing. TikTok says most applications are reviewed within 5 to 14 business days, and it recommends creating new product listings at least two weeks before the campaign starts. If you haven’t registered yet, do it today and assume approval may land after the campaign has begun. Also, you can’t add or delete variations (new colors, sizes) once a product is registered, so lock your variants first.

TikTok also says it monitors performance daily during the campaign. A drop in SPS or a new serious violation can get you removed partway through. That’s one more reason your videos should promise only what the product and the listing actually deliver.

Why three weeks changes your video plan

A one-day sale needs one video. A twenty-day campaign needs a sequence, because the same shopper scrolls past you several times and the reason to buy changes as the month goes on. In week one people are browsing deals. In week two they’re working through a gift list. In the last few days it’s urgency and shipping deadlines.

The week-by-week plan below assumes you post at least one shoppable video a day. You don’t need twenty different videos for that. You need about five core videos plus a few variants (different hooks, different end cards) so the feed doesn’t see the same thing every day.

Week 1 (Nov 11–17): the hero demo and the deal reveal

The hero demo is the video everything else builds on. In the first second it shows the product doing the one thing it’s best at, then the result, then a clear next step. It should work with the sound off and make sense to someone who has never heard of you. If you only make one new video before the 11th, make this one. (Our post on what makes product videos lose sales covers the usual ways this video goes wrong.)

The deal reveal is the same product, framed around the offer: “It’s finally on sale”, “This is the one week it’s cheaper”. Practical tip: don’t bake the discount into the middle of the video. Put the offer on an end card or a text overlay you can swap. Then one edit works for the launch, for a mid-campaign price change, and after the campaign ends. Our guide to end cards and CTAs shows how to set that up.

Week 2 (Nov 18–24): the gift angle

This is the week to stop selling the product to the buyer and start selling it to the gift-giver. Same product, different question: who is this for? “For the coffee snob who has everything.” “For the dog that destroys every toy.” One product can usually carry three or four of these, and each is a different video for a different shopper.

Gift videos work best when they show the moment of giving or unboxing, not just the product on a table. A character reacting to the gift, a quick “what’s inside” reveal, or a short skit about the person who’s impossible to shop for all do the job.

One useful fact for gift messaging: the guide says eligible BFCM orders (sold from November 11, 16:00 PT, to December 31, 23:59 PT) get an extended return window until February 10, 2027, applied automatically. Some categories, such as electronics and jewelry, may keep their standard return rules, and auction orders don’t qualify. If you plan to say “easy holiday returns” in a video, check your category first. A claim that isn’t true for your product is exactly the kind of misleading content that can get it pulled from the campaign.

Week 3 (Nov 25–30): proof, urgency and Cyber Monday

Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30, the last day of the campaign. By now shoppers have seen your product a few times. What gets them over the line is reassurance and a reason to act now.

  • Proof videos: a close-up of the product actually working, a size or fit comparison, or one question you get asked a lot, answered on camera. Keep it to what you can show. No invented reviews, no “thousands sold” unless you can back it up.
  • Last-chance cut: your hero demo with a new hook and an end card that says the deal ends Monday. Again, swap the end card, don’t re-edit the whole video.
  • Shipping honesty: TikTok’s guide extends dispatch deadlines during the campaign (for local shipping, +1 business day for orders received Nov 11–24 and +2 business days for Nov 25–Dec 1). Shoppers buying gifts in the last week care about arrival dates. If you can’t promise delivery by a date, don’t imply it.

The short list: what to have ready before November 11

  1. One hero demo (silent-friendly, product working in the first second).
  2. Two or three hook variants of that demo for testing. Our post on A/B testing hooks on a small budget shows a simple way to run them.
  3. A swappable end card set: “deal is live”, “gift idea”, “ends Monday”.
  4. Two gift-angle videos aimed at specific recipients.
  5. One or two proof videos you can post in the final week.

That’s enough to post daily for three weeks without repeating yourself, and nothing on it depends on scrambling mid-campaign.

If you’ve been invited to the Short Video Challenge

TikTok also runs a 2026 BFCM Seller Short Video Challenge. Per its terms it’s open only to eligible US sellers who were invited before the challenge started. Content can be posted from November 1 to November 30, and the challenge period runs November 11 (16:00 PT) to November 30 (23:59 PT). Entries are shoppable short videos for products enrolled in a 2026 BFCM campaign, using hashtags such as #TikTokShopBlackFriday, #TikTokShopCyberMonday or #DiscoverYourGift. The content must be your own original work and not previously published, and engagement generated by automated means is void. If you got the invite, read the full terms in Seller Center before you post. They also cover what the content can’t include, such as other people’s logos or copyrighted material used without permission.

The bigger picture

The campaign is big for TikTok. According to Retail Brew, TikTok Shop says it passed $500 million in sales over last year’s four-day Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend, and this year the platform is leaning on livestreams from big brands like Sephora and Best Buy. That means more competition for attention. A small brand can’t outspend them, but it can show up every day with videos that are clear, specific and honest about what the product does.

Example in our Funny style. GRUMPY BEAN is a fictional demo brand.
